The Music for Healing and Transition Program, Inc. (MHTP) trains and certifies musicians in the art and science of providing live, acoustic therapeutic music for body, mind, and spirit. MHTP is accredited by the National Standards Board for Therapeutic Musicians, and has been training therapeutic musicians for over 20 years.


Vocal Chords

Vocal Chords is a music documentary series for The Lyric Feature on RTÉ lyric fm presented by Iarla Ó Lionáird.  In a global exploration, Iarla explores the question whether singing is humanity's primary means of communication and why we sing in both times of joy and sorrow.  The series takes listeners on a rich audio experience while addressing the simple but vital question, 'What happens when we sing and why do we sing?'   Vocal Chords also offers fascinating, hour-long radio interviews with iconic, extraordinary singers.


The Harp Therapy Journal

Since its launch in 1996, the The Harp Therapy Journal has been dedicated to furthering education, research, communication and awareness in the emerging field of harp therapy. Publishing Editor Sarajane Williams conceived the journal as a vehicle for harp therapists, harpists, music therapists, physicians, nurses, researchers, psychologists, physicists, educators and harp music lovers to share ideas and information on the subject. 


The National Standards Board for Therapeutic Musicians

The National Standards Board for Therapeutic Musicians (NSBTM) consists of leaders in the therapeutic music field whojoined together to develop and maintain standards for therapeutic musician training programs and their graduates. The NSBTM defines the Courses of Study, Scope of Practice, Code of Ethics and other rules of conduct for the certified therapeutic musician.  The practice of the therapeutic musician is to use the intrinsic healing elements of live music and sound to provide an environment conducive to the human healing process.


The Chalice of Repose Project

The mission of The Chalice of Repose Project is to:  Lovingly care for the physical and spiritual needs of the dying with prescriptive music; Make patient-care services available to individuals and loved ones during the weeks, days and hours leading up to and including the moments of transitus; Educate clinicians, care-givers, administrators, institutions, and the general public about contemplative musicianship, music-thanatology, monastic medicine, and the possibilities of a blessed, peaceful or conscious death; Model and integrate these contemplative values into daily life, work environments, patient care programs, educational curricula, and all work-related initiatives.

Tama-Do ("The Way of the Soul") Academy, created in 1988 by Fabien Maman, the founding father of vibrational sound therapy (Websters’ Dictionary), is dedicated to the evolution of Human Consciousness through research, teachings and creative self-expression. With a summer base in Europe and a Sound Garden in Malibu, California, we offer courses in non-invasive techniques using Sound Healing, Color Therapy and Qi Gong Movement® and Seasonal Harmonizing Concerts® to ground the Soul in daily life.

Craobh chumar an dá uisce

Craobh Chumar an Dá Uisce is a Branch of Conradh na Gaeilge (The Gaelic League).  It is an Irish Language organization that promotes the development of the Irish language and culture through education, arts, family & community services and outreach work.  Locally, it holds language classes and other activities at Celtic Hall in Colonie, NY., welcoming anyone who is interested in the Irish Language, from new learners to fluent speakers.
